Objectives: The objective of this study was to determine the percentage of metabolic syndrome (MetS) in a Turkish population with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) according to the American Heart Association/National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (AHA/NHLBI) and International Diabetes Federation (IDF) definitions and to assess the agreement among these definitions.
