Özet
In spite of similarities in their point of views mainly, disciplines of geography and planning describe region differently from each other.Within the geography, region is perceived as spatial entirety, which has been formed by similarity of a certain space.With the description is searched for certain homogeneity.The homogeneity is not undoubtedly one factor but is a multiunit system, which includes a number of factors within altogether and certain harmony.Within the planning, region is commented as a space, which will be planned.Undoubtedly, like that the other disciplines, which accept the region on the centre of their studies, within the disciplines of planning and geography the concept of region have changed.Within the geography, region is perceived as the divided part of the certain space.Determining regional borders is the topic of discussion within the each discipline.While the regional borders are determined, geography moves from generalized similarity but planning moves from aims of planning.Within the functional region, regional borders has determined according to zone of influence.If different functions are evaluated altogether, determining regional boards get difficult and synthesis studies are needed.Actually region is a relative concept.This relativity has chanced according to subject, time, aim and scale of the study.
