Özet
An investigation on fishes, which are marketing in Izmir fish market between 1993 and 2004.In this study reports that the annual amounts of fishes which are marketing in Izmir fish market between 1993 and 2004.A total of 60 species of which 50 pieces (83%) of marine fish, 4 pieces (7%) of fresh water fish and 6 pieces (10%) of invertebrates were recorded in the fish market.The highest selling record (6850 t) were observed in 2000, whereas the least record (2701.5 t) were found in 1997.The greatest amounts of fish species in the Izmir fish market were concerned with sardine (Sardina pilchardus), anchovy (Engraulis encrasicholus) and bogue (Boops boops), respectively.
