Özet
A sample study in determining appropriate marine site selection for net cage culture.A large number of criteria must be considered in determining appropriate site selection for marine net cage culture.Almost all of marine fish culture production in Turkey is being done net cage fish farms.Especially in recent years due to the problems experienced mainly with Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Environment and with the other site users, it is obvius that marine fish culture production has been slowed down.For this reason, the necessity of determining new net cage fish production areas has arisen.The environmental factors as well as economical and technological conditions are being constrictive for the firms producing marine fish culture.The Govermental Offices related with this subject also come forward as one of the determining factors.In this study, Çiçek Islands location in Urla district in İzmir County has been choosen as a sample site of production.The sites which are suitable for production conditions in the above mentioned sample area for marine fish culture have been determined by considering the necessary criteria which have to be studied in establishing fish farm.
