Özet
There are many green electrospun nanofibers (ESNFs) loaded with seed oils. Among them, Nigella sativa oil (NSO) possesses various beneficial properties, such as pain relief, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticancer, antimicrobial, antihypertensive, immune-stimulating, and wound healing effects. In this study, the characterization and in vitro cell viability testing of NSO (also known as black cumin oil) loaded polycaprolactone/kappa-carrageenan (PCL-Car) nanofibrous mats were investigated for skin tissue engineering. SEM images and contact angle measurements of PCL-Car/NSO nanofibers were carried out. in vitro cell culture studies were conducted on human keratinocyte cells (HaCaT cell line). 10 mg mL(-)(1) of NSO loaded PCL-Car/NSO nanofibers increased the viability of HaCaT cells within 48 h. In addition, PCL-Car/NSO nanofibers showed advanced wound healing activities (48%). Consequently, PCL-Car/NSO nanofibers have a favorable usage potential in skin tissue engineering applications.
