Özet
In the third week of embryonic development, with gastrulation, the three germ layers ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm are formed.Ectoderm, remaining on the surface during the neural tube formation, is responsible for epidermis and epidermal derived hair follicle, sweat and sebaceous glands, mammary glands and nail formation.Crista neuralis cells originated with closure of the neural tube, migrate to epidermis and form melanocytes that supply pigmentation in skin and hair.Concerning of the embryonic origin of Merkel cells, some researchers suggest that they are originated from the neural crest, while others suggest epidermal keratinocytes. In this review, embryological development of skin and skin appendages that work as one of the major systems of the body, is demonstrated based on the literature.
