Özet

The prototype production process is a process in which companies produce the model for

the incoming order for the first time. This study was done in a clothing company9s

prototype department. In this company, which adopts the understanding of "zero defect"

and "total quality control management" in the entire production process, the prototype

production process is handled. In this context, in the study, the current situation of the

company was analyzed in a 4-month period and the system of the prototype department

was analyzed. In these analyzes, the errors that occurred in the department were also

identified and classified. In the following-up and analysis of the whole current system,

410 models were examined. These 410 models consist of a total of 2774 products. Errors

encountered in the examination of 2774 products are classified in the main and sub-title

groups. The detected errors were handled with Pareto diagrams and improvement

suggestions were presented to eliminate the errors in the 80% group accordingly. After

the implementation of the improvement suggestions, the improved situation of the

department was followed up for 2 more months. During the 2-month follow-up period,

258 models were examined. 258 models consist of a total of 1003 products. A total of 626

different error types were found in 1003 products. The detected errors were evaluated and

the error percentages in the improved situation were compared with the previous situation

of the company, within the scope of the recommendations.
