Özet
This in vitro study aims to assess different grain sizes of burs effect on the precision of the finish line marginal fit in computer-aided design and manufacturing-produced glass-ceramic restorations. 50 impacted human molar teeth with intact enamel integrity were used in 5 groups and 10 samples were in each subgroup (n=10). The black, green and neutral banded burs were used in the first, second and third group (G1, G2, G3), respectively. In the fourth group (G4) the preparation was started with a black banded bur while green banded bur was used for the fifth group (G5) and finished with a red banded bur in both. Each sample was scanned with intraoral scanner individually and Lithium disilicate reinforced ceramic blocks were milled followed by evaluation of the marginal range of all samples under a stereomicroscope. Measurements were done on 8 points at equal distance from each other on each surface. A statistically significant difference exists between the groups when comparing the surfaces (buccal, distal, mezial palatinal). Also, there was a statistically significant difference between the groups regarding surface mean measurement (p<0.05). When the groups are compared within themselves for the surface average value, it is observed that the groups that make up the most difference are Black Red Banded (G4), Green Red banded (G5). Finishing the margin with a red banded diamond cutting burs after coarse-grained diamond-cut burs increases the marginal fit of glass-ceramic restorations produced with computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques.
