Özet
This study examines the causal relationship between renewable energy consumption and macroeconomic indicators like economic growth, unemployment, and inflation across 47 Asian and African nations from 2005 to 2023. As global interest in sustainable development grows, renewable energy is seen as not only environmentally necessary but also economically beneficial. While existing studies emphasize the positive effects of corporate environmental policies on employee motivation and performance, this research expands the focus to explore renewable energy's broader macroeconomic impacts. Using panel data analysis, including the Breusch-Pagan, Pesaran bias-adjusted LM, and CD tests for data reliability, and the Dumitrescu-Hurlin causality test for directional relationships, the results show significant links between renewable energy usage and economic growth and employment. This research provides insights for policymakers and the private sector, supporting strategies that maximize the economic benefits of renewable energy and bolster sustainable growth.
