Özet

This research focussed on how users perceive the phenomenon of interactivity in interactive documentary modes, the criteria by which they interpret the interactivity, and whether perceived interactivity dimensions are effective in their attitudes toward these modes. In the research, a qualitative research design was used to explain the perspectives of the users. In this direction, twenty-three participants were determined by purposeful sampling methods. These participants experienced the interactive documentary modes proposed by Sandra Gaudenzi: conversational mode, hypertext mode, and participatory mode. The data collection process was completed with experience procedures, interviews, and observation techniques. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. The research findings revealed that the user’s perception of interactivity varies depending on the interactivity structure and design of the interactive documentary mode and that the positivity of the perceived interactivity by the users toward the interactive documentary mode has a positive effect on their attitudes.
