Özet
The international conference titled “Issues of the Cultural Genesis of Northern and Central Asia”, held between October 15–17, 2024, in Abakan, the capital of the Republic of Khakassia, was dedicated to the 100th birth anniversary of the esteemed scholar Leonid Romanovich Kyzlasov. Supported by the Government of Khakassia, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Culture, and various academic institutions, the conference brought together over 90 researchers and scholars. The event shed light on Kyzlasov’s scientific legacy and continued with comprehensive sessions addressing the archaeological, linguistic, historical, and cultural richness of Northern and Central Asia. Topics such as archaeological excavations, burial sites, rock art, and ancient settlements were extensively discussed. Furthermore, presentations in fields such as linguistics, folklore, and ethnogenesis contributed to understanding the region's cultural diversity and historical processes. The conference was conducted in a hybrid format, accommodating both in-person and online participation, and provided an interdisciplinary platform with contributions from scholars across different countries. It was announced that the presented papers would be published in an international database. Through this conference, Kyzlasov’s scientific contributions were introduced to a broader audience, marking a significant step in fostering regional cooperation. This article serves as a report introducing and summarizing the outcomes of the conference.
