Özet
Sensors have historically been employed to identify physical characteristics in marine investigations, but there is a rising demand for real-time information concerning chemical and biological aspects. These parameters are presently measured in seawater samples and then examined in the laboratory. Marine applications provide a significant barrier in terms of the resilience necessary for remote application, but recent advances in portable medical equipment and receptor design show that these needs may now be realistically met. In this chapter, these concepts will be investigated in detail.
