Özet

The development of rare‐earth compounds (REC) is crucial for advanced electronic applications, including high‐energy physics, light‐emitting diodes, optical sensors, and bio‐imaging technologies. Inorganic REC, such as gadolinium oxy sulfate (Gd2O2SO4), are particularly valued for their superior energy solubility and mechanical rigidity, making them ideal for high‐energy radiation environments. This study investigates the effects of dopant type and concentration on Gd2O2SO4 nanoparticles. Gd2−xDyxO2SO4 nanoparticles (x = 0.5, 1, and 2%) are synthesized via the sol–gel method and characterized to determine the optimal dopant concentration, which is found to be 1% based on luminescence efficiency. Additionally, Gd2O2SO4:1%Ce3+ nanoparticles are synthesized and characterized using the same approach. The characterization process is conducted at three stages of synthesis: solution (sol), gelation (gel), and the final product. Structural, morphological, chemical, and optical properties are analyzed using X‐ray diffraction, Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, and time‐correlated single photon counting. The results demonstrate the potential of doped Gd2O2SO4 nanoparticles for advanced luminescent applications.
