Özet

ABSTRACT

The research was conducted in an open field where the Limonium sinuatum ‘Compindi White’ variety was cultivated to determine the effect of the addition of farmyard manure to salty sea sand (1:1) and the foliar application of calcium nitrate [Ca(NO3)2] at 1% and 2% concentrations on the development and quality of the plant in a randomized parcel trial pattern in three replications. The development and quality of the plant and the nutrient amounts of the soil were affected negatively in saline conditions. In these conditions, the addition of farmyard manure substantially eliminated these negative effects. On the other hand, the foliar application of calcium significantly increased the number of leaves and flowers; thickness of pedicles; fresh and dry weights of the plant’s upper parts; and N, K, and Ca levels of the plant, while it decreased the P, Na, and microelement levels. In L. sinuatum cultivation, the application of farmyard manure to salty sea sand and the foliar application of calcium were observed to have positive effects on the development, quality, and nourishment of the plant.
