Özet
Tourism industry is the one of the key drivers of global economic growth. It’s one of the fundamental income and job providers in global economy. In this respect, countries have paying increasing attention and investing in high rates on tourism activities since the second half of the 20th century. However, the 21st century has witnessed the discussions about the pros and cons of tourism from the lens of sustainability. Today, the Earth is approaching its limits and the recent pandemic gave us the high sign about a dark cloud on the horizon. In this respect, this study aims to analyse the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic on the sustainable urban tourism literature from the lens of overtourism and smart tourism studies. This study contributes to the literature by its thematic and period-based classifications about the literature. Also, it sheds light on the routes of studies following the recent pandemic.
