Özet
Model predictive direct speed control (MPDSC) for an electric motor eliminates the need for a cascade control structure and enhances the disturbance rejection capability of an electric drive. On the other hand, sensorless control reduces the cost of electrical drive systems while enhancing system reliability. To leverage the benefits of both sensorless control and the MPDSC strategy, this paper proposes a sensorless MPDSC-based induction motor (IM) drive. An extended Kalman filter is designed to estimate the states required for the MPDSC strategy and sensorless control. To validate its effectiveness, the proposed electric drive is tested under various operating conditions, including load changes, speed reversal, dynamic speed changes, and parameter inaccuracies. The results confirm its satisfactory control performance. Finally, an advanced IM drive with the advantages of the MPDSC strategy and sensorless control is introduced.
