Özet
A preliminary study on the aquatic fauna of Birgi Ponds (Urla, Izmir) and Sazligol (Karaburun, Izmir).In order to determine the aquatic fauna of Birgi ponds (Urla-İzmir) and Sazlıgöl (Karaburun-İzmir), a field study was arranged on 23.March 2001.At the end of the study, totally 40 taxa were determined; of them, 17 belong to Rotifera, 22 to Arthropoda and 1 belongs to Chordata.All the determined taxa were firstly reported for this locality.
