Özet

The process of vocational adaptation among students undergoing vocational training represents a multidimensional phenomenon in which sociological, psychological, genetic, and epigenetic factors are intricately intertwined. This comprehensive multidisciplinary review synthesizes current literature from sociology, psychology, genetics, epigenetics, and educational sciences to examine the concept of vocational adaptation and the key factors influencing this complex developmental process. The sociological perspective approaches adaptation as the formation of professional identity through processes of professional socialization, role negotiation, and value acquisition within specific occupational communities. The psychological dimension focuses on individual mechanisms including motivation, self-efficacy, psychological resilience, stress management strategies, career adaptability, and the development of professional identity as a psychological construct. Genetic and epigenetic approaches discuss the biological foundations by highlighting the lasting effects of skill acquisition, environmental interactions, and stress exposure on gene expression patterns, neuroplasticity, and long-term developmental trajectories. Through systematic analysis of 30 highly relevant empirical studies and theoretical contributions, this review identifies critical factors including educational system structures, curriculum design, social support networks, individual personality characteristics, and gene-environment interactions that collectively shape vocational adaptation outcomes. The findings underscore the necessity of an interdisciplinary methodological synthesis and offer a comprehensive framework for educational policies, institutional support mechanisms, and future research directions. This integrative approach provides theoretical foundations for understanding vocational adaptation as a bio-psycho-social process and practical implications for enhancing vocational education and training systems globally.
