Özet
The purpose of this investigation is to assess the efficacy and aesthetic preferences of buccal corridor modifications using Botulinum Toxin A and Hyaluronic Acid fillers in different facial types, facilitated by computer-aided graphic software evaluations. The study engaged a diverse age group of subjects, ensuring ethical approval from the Ethics Committee. A computerized graphic software was used to simulate modifications in the buccal corridor across different facial indices, analyzed through the perspectives of 65 laypersons and 60 Turkish dentists. The clinical approach included administering 1 IU of Botulinum Toxin A in the risorius muscle and 0.2 cc of Hyaluronic Acid filler in the lip's vermilion border, focusing on precision, ethical standards, and a clear definition of methods including image analysis and statistical significance of the findings. No significant preference was found between different buccal corridor sizes among the groups. However, a 5% corridor size was favored for wide faces, and a 10% size for narrow faces. The treatment led to an average buccal corridor reduction to 6% in eight cases, with minimal adverse effects except for a single incident of minor bruising. This study underscores the potential of Botulinum Toxin A and Hyaluronic Acid fillers in customizing buccal corridors to enhance facial aesthetics. The findings support the viability of these methods in dental aesthetics, with a notable preference for specific buccal corridor sizes in varying facial types, contributing significantly to the scientific community's understanding of non-surgical aesthetic enhancements.
