Özet
SUMMARY: During the course of an investigation on the rumen ciliate fauna of the Turkish domestic goats, the two species of Diplodinium possessing a caudal fan, Diplodinium crista-galli and D. flabellum were observed for the first time in a host in Turkey. Moreover, the present study reports for the first time the presence of Diplodinium flabellum in the rumen of goats. The two species and their strains were compared with their original descriptions and previous reports and the similarities and differences were discussed.
