Özet
Audio description is an additional commentary to describe the essential visual elements for blind and partially sighted people in a video or multimedia product. This study aims at introducing this newly developing area through explicating the insight it offers along with making an analysis on a concrete audio descriptive text. In this respect, after presenting a history, what audio description is and how it is practiced will be elucidated by exploring the audio description text of Umut Aral’s short film “Crash” (“Çarpışma”), first described by Bogazici University Mithat Alam Film Centre Audio Description Group.
