<p>Sea cage farms ensures big structures in the water column that attracts wild fishes regarding feeding, reproduction or sheltering requirements. Interaction between sea cages and wild fish around fish cages were reported in numerous previous studies. In addition occurrence of vulnerable species like sea turtles, marine mammals, sharks and rays around the sea cages makes them important ecological artificial aquatic systems. Bluefin tuna farms are significant aggregation areas for wild fish species like other sea cage farms with their big structures and feeding operations. Sharks and rays play 74 important role on aquatic ecosystems but unfortunately the knowledge of their interaction with blue fin tuna cages is limited. Duckbill eagle rays (Aetomylaeus bovinus) which is listed as critically endangered by IUCN, were reported around bluefin tuna farm in the Aegean Sea. One Innovasea WR2W (OP) and one Thelma Biotel TBR 800 acoustic receivers is active in a bluefin tuna cage system in the Aegean Sea currently and it is planned to tag eagle rays with Innovasea V9p-2h tags in 2024 fall. This study will narrow the knowledge gap in terms of the behaviour and interaction with rays and the bluefin tuna cages that act like MPAs which would be helpful for conservation of these species for scientists and decision makers.&nbsp;</p>
