<p>The Reception of Elias Canetti and His Works within the Turkish Language Area In the context of this limited study, which aims to research the reception of Elias Canetti in Turkey, it is mainly necessary to refrain from introducing his entire work and looking into them in detail. Therefore, the primary concern of this study is to examine the beginning and the course of the reception of Canetti's works within the Turkish literature market. In this regard, in addition to his Turkish translations, the scientific publications of Turkish Germanists, popular writings, and press reports about him were also taken into consideration. There is a clear tendency that Elias Canetti was only able to attract the interest of the Turkish literary scene only after his Nobel Prize for Literature in 1981. Starting from this turning point, the phases of the reception of the writer Elias Canetti in Turkey shall be introduced, and an attempt is to be made to disclose that Canetti's work has also Turkish roots. </p><p>Keywords: Elias Canetti, reception, Nobel Prize, multiculturalism, Turkish translation.<br></p>
