Özet
A preliminary study on the macrobenthic invertebrate fauna of Kuş Lake (Bandırma).In order to determine the macro benthic invertebrate fauna of Kuş Lake, monthly samplings were conducted between 1987 and 1988 at 5 stations.Mud samples taken by an Ekman grab, sieved with a 500 μm mesh sized sieve and fixed in 4%formalin solution.As a consequence of the study, totally 16 taxa comprising 10 Oligochaets, 5 Chironomids and 1 Ceratopogonids were found.As an average, 6759 individuals were found in a square meter of bottom.Proportional distributions of these groups were as follows: the dominant group was Oligochaeta with 81.94%and Chironomidae (17.90%) followed it and lastly Ceratopoginids (0.16%).Among the stations studied, first station was the richest one (28.71%)while the fourth one the poorest (12.77%).
