Özet
The Study On Mediterranean Shrimp (Penaeus kerathurus Forskal, 1775) Culture in Pond. This study aimed to investigate the culture of Mediterranean Shrimp (Penaeus kerathurus) at pond in Urla, Izmir. The study was carried out at private farm nearby Torasan locality in Urla, Izmir. A pond, 500 m 2 and average depth is 1 m., was seeded with juvenile shrimp (PL25) at the rates of 20 PL/m 2 . Shrimps were fed with artificial feed, produced for gilthead sea bream. At the end of day 90, average weight of shrimps in the pond was 3.95 g, carapace length was 28.93 mm, and total length was 80.05 mm. It was observed that all the shrimps were dead at the end of 105 th day at 6 °C water temperature.
