Summary
This dataset contains anonymized balance performance data from a crossover study investigating the acute effects of caffeine and nicotine gum on postural stability in trained athletes. Participants (n=20) completed four randomized test sessions: caffeine (~3 mg/kg), nicotine (4 mg), placebo, and control (no gum). Static and dynamic balance was assessed using the Prokin 252 balance platform. The data file is in SPSS format (.sav) and includes variables such as ellipse area, path length, and condition codes. This dataset supports findings submitted for publication and is made available under a CC-BY 4.0 license.
