Özet

1999 WHO-ISH Guidelines concluded that fibrinogen is a risk factor for hypertensive patients (P). However there is no knowledge about the effect of different groups of antihypertensive drugs on plasma fibrinogen (PF). The aim of the study is to compare the effects of 6 different antihypertensive drug groups on PF levels in cases with hypertension. 230 P (aged 37to 66 years) with moderate H were included in the study. P were divided into six groups. There were no differences between groups according P's blood pressures, age, gender, smoking and blood chemistry (blood sugar, trigliseride, total cholesterol, HDL-Ch, LDL-Ch). 38 P received diuretics (D), 42 P received beta receptor blocking agents (BRB), 40 P received calcium channel blockers (CChB), 60 P received Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE-I), 26 P received angiotensin II antagonist (A II A) and 24 P received alpha I receptor blocking agents (A I RB). No P received any drugs which affected PF levels during the study. PF levels were measured before and after 3 months of antihypertensive treatment. Results are shown in the table below: It is concluded that PF levels were reduced significantly by ACE-I and AIRB, were increased significantly by D and BRB. AIIA and CChB have no effect. ACE-I and AIRB must be preferred in the treatment of hypertension with high PF levels. In this cases D and BRB should not be recommended.
