Özet

A new chasmophytic species of Campanula from the İncekaya (Por) Caldera in Bitlis Province (Eastern Anatolia, Türkiye), is described and illustrated. The new species named C. porensis is closest to C. mardinensis, from which it differs by several morphological traits, as yellowish-green to green, subglabrous to sparsely hirsute leaves, a relatively long and narrowly infundibular, intensely bluish-purple corolla, short calyx lobes, a widely obconical capsule, and a generally sparse indumentum on both vegetative and floral parts. Campanula porensis shows a superficial resemblance to C. acutiloba in habitus but it is easily distinguished by its smaller, widely infundibular, deeply lobed corolla, pale to dark violet in colour, and reniform to cordate leaves. Campanula porensis grows in restricted moist, shaded magmatic rocky cliffs at 1650–1700 m a.s.l. A detailed morphological description, diagnostic comparisons with related taxa, ecological notes, distributional data, SEM micrographs, and a conservation assessment are provided. Based on IUCN criteria, the species is assessed as Vulnerable (VU D1).
