Summary

Ethics has a decisive meaning in today's business life in terms of concepts, principles and practices. The increase in the relative importance of ethics from an organizational perspective has made unethical behaviors more visible. In this context, mobbing is one of the most well known and most common types of unethical behaviors. Mobbing means psychological violence and intimidation in the simplest terms. In broader terms, mobbing refers to the systematic mistreatment of an individual or group by another individual or group. Mobbing should be evaluated not only as a form of action but also as an ethical violation and a legal crime. Such behaviors are generally seen in organizations where ethical culture is inadequate by individuals or individuals who lack ethical knowledge and awareness. Based on the importance of ethical behavior and ethical training, this study examines mobbing as an ethical violation. In this conceptual study, the phenomenon of mobbing is examined from an ethical perspective and discussed in terms of its basic concepts, causes and consequences. The fact that it addresses mobbing, which is a universal problem, and draws attention to the connection of mobbing with ethics makes the study valuable in terms of the literature and subsequent studies. The study aims to contribute to concepts such as ethical literacy and ethics education.

Keywords: Ethics, Ethical violation, Mobbing, Organizational ethics, Ethical literacy, Ethical behavior, Ethical awareness, Ethical education.
