Özet
In nature, unique diversity and richness of material are hidden in order to find solutions to the problems that human beings face due to their needs. In recent years, the concept of biomimicry, which imitates nature and reinterprets nature in engineering, architecture and design, has emerged for a more sustainable world and to preserve the fascinating power of life. This concept provides a wide range of possibilities for designers who aim to find new perspectives in the field of biodesign. The concept of biodesign, which is related to biomimicry inspired by nature, is based on cooperation with nature. In this study, how and for what purpose the science of biomimicry, which guides in producing searches based on biodesign and developing new designs, is evaluated used in design, is examined in terms of insects and examined through current examples. In the light of these evaluations, the possible contributions of insects to biodesign and their future uses are emphasized. With the development of technology, it is clearly seen that the effect of biomimicry on the field of design has become more visible today and it is a subject worth investigating. For this reason, it aims to contribute to the field by encouraging the continuity of the discussions on the subject and the development of new methods which has been the focus of the article. In addition to theoretical information, a limited number of selected visual examples are supported.
