This Study examined some characteristics of Split Suede leathers that were treated with a range of Aloe vera concentrations. Following the tanning process Of Split Suede leathers, Aloe vera was applied at five different concentrations (2%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10%). Leathers treated with Aloe vera took oil a yellowish-brown color. Also, the Moisture content and softness of the leathers increased according to the concentration of Aloe vera used, and the highest levels of both moisture content and softness were obtained at 8% and 10% application concentrations. The leathers that were treated with 6% or more Aloe vera had slightly higher tear load values when compared with control leathers. In addition, ethanol-based and water-based extracts of Aloe vera showed antimicrobial properties against some Gram (-) and Gram (+) bacteria and C. albicans.
