Özet
Line balancing problem is an essential problem to improve quality and to reduce costs in the textile and apparel industry. It is aimed to achieve a regular flow of materials, the maximum capacity of manpower and machinery to be used, the minimum processing time, the minimum idle time by line balancing. In Textile and apparel industry, there is a seasonal change of models and plenty of models. Also, the unit time of operations in models may be different from each other. Consequently, a worker may work in multiple operations or multiple workers can work in an operation during line balancing. In such cases, it will be a more realistic line balancing which is based on workers’ performance. In this study, an integer mathematical model, which considers the performance on the operations of workers, was developed, the NP-completeness was proved, and a greedy algorithm was presented for performance based line balancing problem.
