Background: The present study was planned to evaluate the individual and combined effects of selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor, celecoxib, and omega-3 fatty acid on the gingival tissue levels of prostaglandin E-2 (PGE(2)), prostaglandin F-2 alpha (PGF(2 alpha)), leukotriene B-4 (LTB4), and platelet activating factor (PAF) in endotoxin-induced periodontitis in rats.
