Özet
Examining the pollution in Izmir Bay by a statistical model.The usage of statistical methods in deriving results from limited data, improves progress in scientific researches.One of these researches with limited data is on environment.In this study, raw data of a research, prepared for FAO, were utilised to prepare a model on pollution.Multiple linear regression was selected as the model.General information on model, parameter estimation methods, tests on estimation faults and examinations were established.Findings were supported by the literatures.The variations effecting pollution found to be the depth, phosphate and ammonium.In evaluation of the data SPSS for Windows 6.2, Minitab, Statistica and Microsoft Excel softwares were used.
